Rochester's Mobile Kitchen for Christ returned from New York City on Sunday after helping with food efforts in the areas that were devastated by Sandy.
Members of Father's Heart Ministery spent the past week in some of New York City's most damaged areas with their mobile soup kitchen.
The mobile soup kitchen went through the burroughs handing out over 500 blankets and 1,600 meals to those who needed it most.
"They just thanked us for coming down, they couldn't believe that we would come down there from Rochester with our mobile soup kitchen and want to feed people," said Russell Loria. "It was so awesome, I loved every second of it. We're planning another trip maybe in another week, to pack it up and go back down there, and do the same thing over again."
Trader Joes donated food to the Father's Heart Ministry to help the cause.
