Wednesday marked five months to the day that Adam Chase went missing from his Ontario County home.
Sheriff Phil Povero says Chase left his house on Mott Road in the hamlet of Stanley between 11 and 11:30 a.m. on June 14th after an argument with his wife Rose.
Povero says there are no signs of foul play and he and the Chase family believe Adam is somewhere in the Ontario County area.
"We are still actively looking and seeking assistance from our law enforcement and community partners in locating Adam Chase. Again, as a reminder, there is absolutely no evidence at this time to indicate that this is anything other than a truly upsetting and very stressful missing person investigation," Povero said.
In the days after Chase left, investigators say he did return home to retrieve some personal belongings, including a cell phone.
Authorities say they've traced three text messages sent from that phone on June 19th. They said they don't have a specific location but believe they were sent from the northern or western portions of the city of Canandaigua.
"He texted several people. I don't know if we want to get into that right now just for the sensitivity of the issue," Povero said.
Those texts were the last communication from Chase. Povero said there hasn't been any activity on Adam's credit or bank cards in the five months he's been missing.
"We are very optimistic that someone out there still has some piece of information they may think is insignificant or not important that would help us in locating Mr. Chase."
Povero was joined by Chase's wife Rose, his mother Silvia, and sister Jessica in making the plea to find Adam. The family says its holiday wish is to have him contact them.
"Adam, if you can hear this, you have a place to come home to. Call me, email me, whichever. Just come home," Silvia said.
Adam Chase is 6' tall with black hair and brown eyes. He wears glasses and contact lenses. Investigators ask anyone with information on Chase's whereabouts to call 911 or the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.
