Woman Charged With Arson for Two Separate Fires
Fire investigators charged a Rochester woman with setting two separate fires.

Wednesday night, members of the city's Arson Task force arrested 32-year-old Marcia Mitchell.

She is charged with two counts of arson and two counts of assault in connection with setting two fires on Manor Parkway.

The first fire took place on New Year's Day at the apartment complex at 104 Manor Parkway.
Firefighters arrived to find a working fire in the basement of the building. There was extensive damage from the fire, which displaced several tenants. Mitchell was one of those tenants.

On October 25th, firefighters were called to 106 Manor Parkway for an apartment fire. The apartment, belonging to Mitchell was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. Investigators say two tenants from other apartments in the building were transported to the hospital with injuries.

Mitchell is being held in the Monroe County Jail.
