Investigators from the Arson Task Force charged Terrell Murray, 34, with second degree Insurance Fraud.

Police say Murray filed a false property loss claim through his renter's insurance for a fire that occurred August 18th on Jefferson Avenue. Murray received more than $13,000 from his insurance company for property he removed before the fire.

Investigators determined that fire was intentionally set. That part of the investigation continues.

The Jefferson Avenue home had to be torn down after the fire.
