October was National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the Rochester Police Department and the Alternatives for Battered Women teamed up to raise awareness about domestic violence and its impact on victims and their families.

They also set up purple collection boxes in police departments across the city to collect new toys and personal care items for those affected.

Today they announced the results of their “Purple Box Drive.”

Together, the two are collecting toys and donations for Alternatives for Battered Women.
