Your Caring Gifts Campaign Kicks Off on 'Giving Tuesday'

We have Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and now Giving Tuesday. It's a nationwide effort to inspire people to celebrate philanthropy and the spirit of giving.
The Volunteers of America is one of the organizations hoping people will donate to its cause. The VOA has kicked off its Your Caring Gifts campaign to raise money to support programs that help people break the cycle of poverty and reach their full potential.
"Those donations go to support our services. For a charitable donation of $50, you can support an individual. A hundred dollars can actually help a family move into permanent housing, gifts of hope, gifts of joy, gifts of empowerment," said Joanne Ryan, president and CEO of Volunteers of America.
YNN is a sponsor of the Your Caring Gifts campaign which runs through December 31st. The VOA is hoping to raise $70,000.
Throughout the month of December, YNN will be highlighting several programs provided by the VOA.
