Monroe County's Stop DWI program and Rochester Against Intoxicated Driving teamed up for "Lights On for Life."

Police cars, fire trucks and ambulances gathered at the corner of West Main Street and North Fitzhugh and moved through the streets of Rochester to raise awareness of the dangers of drugged and drunk driving and to honor those affected.

Stop DWI says it's not just the responsibility of law enforcement to keep roads safe.

Peggy Duffy, Stop DWI coordinator, said, "We need law enforcement out there to enforce it, but we need everybody in the community to be part in making sure no one's on our roadways under the influence."

Stop DWI says about 3,000 people were arrested in Monroe County for DWI or DUI last year.
