Bobbie Kugler, 31, was facing several charges, including four counts of second-degree murder.

Kugler cried non-stop in court while she pleaded guilty to four counts of manslaughter, three counts of of second degree assault, and one count of arson.

She will serve seven to 15 years in state prison and waived her right to appeal the plea.

Kugler admitted she was drunk and had taken sleeping pills when she lit a picture on fire to burn some incense in her bedroom. She admitted that her actions started the fire that ultimately resulted in the death of her four children.

Gage Reavey, 14; Greg Kugler, 13; Kandee Kugler, 12; and Kaiden Kugler, 6, all died in the fire. The fire injured three others.

"Our office looks for justice in this matter. There has never been an allegation in this case that Ms. Kugler intentionally killed her children or injured anyone in that fire,” said Kyle Steinebach, prosecutor. “What she admitted to was an intentional act, starting the fire, and that she acted recklessly.

"This is very difficult for her. This is something she has to deal with every waking moment that four of her babies are no longer with her,” said Michael Lopez, Assistant Public Defender.

Kugler will be sentenced January 22nd. Had this gone to trial, she faced life in prison.
