Two Rochester companies teamed up Wednesday to make sure that the cupboard is not bare this holiday season.

Workers from AT&T and Wegmans joined forces at Foodlink to fill food baskets.

AT&T and its workers donated seven thousand dollars worth of shelf-stable proteins to Foodlink. In the food cupboard business, those are hard-to-come-by items.

"Actually we get, in terms of donations, a lot of fruits and vegetables, but protein is one of those things that we don't see donated regularly," said Jeanette Batiste, Foodlink COO. "We are very excited about the tuna fish and peanut butter. It is always in high demand, and we never get to see a pallet of each the way we have today."

Foodlink works with four hundred non-profit organizations in a 10-county region. This year, Foodlink will provide 20,000 holiday meals.
