Driver in Fatal Crash Issued Tickets
The driver of a pickup truck involved in a fatal accident in East Rochester Friday morning has been ticketed by police.
Authorities say Donald Love, 47, of Hilton was issued tickets for failure to yield at an intersection, failure to keep right, unreasonable speed, passing a red light and open container.
Monroe County Sheriff's deputies say his pickup truck was heading north on Washington Street when it went through a red light. It struck an SUV heading west on West Linden Avenue around 8 a.m. Friday.
The driver of the SUV, John Marcaitis, 53, of Fairport, was pronounced dead at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Marcaitis worked in the IT Department at Monroe Number One BOCES in Fairport.
