Trial Date Set for Former Jail Deputy
A trial date was set Monday morning for a former Monroe County jail deputy accused of rape.
Robert Wilson, 41, is facing more than 20 charges including rape, sexual abuse and official misconduct.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Wilson took female inmates to unsecure areas within the Monroe Correctional Facility where he allegedly committed the crimes. The alleged incidents occurred from January 2010 through this past summer.
Wilson worked for the department for 17 years. He resigned September 17th.
His trial is scheduled to begin April 15th.
