The school board appointed Eugene Mancuso as the next superintendent at Tuesday night's board meeting.

Mancuso comes from Penfield, where he most recently served as assistant superintendent for instruction for the school district.

Mr. Mancuso replaces Dr. Michelle Kavanaugh, who is retiring at the end of January after holding the district's top job for seven years.
