Police Release Autopsy Results of Slain Firefighters
We're learning more about the injuries the two slain firefighters sustained in that Christmas Eve shooting in Webster. State Police said an autopsy performed by the Monroe County Medical Examiner's office found that firefighter Mike Chiapperini died from a single gunshot wound.

Police say an autopsy found firefighter Tomasz Kaczowka died from two gunshot wounds. Funerals for the fallen firefighters are scheduled for Sunday and Monday.

An autopsy done on the shooter William Spengler found that he died of a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The ME's office found that he had no other gunshot wounds.

State Police are also working with the ATF to trace the weapons Spengler used in the shootings to determine where he obtained them.

State police said investigators are still working to identify a body found in the rubble of Spengler's home. Webster's police chief said earlier this week they believe the remains are that of the shooter's sister.

Meanwhile the two firefighters injured in the shootings, Joe Hofstetter and Ted Scardino, have been upgraded to satisfactory condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.
