Now that their brothers have been laid to rest, West Webster Firefighters are trying to move forward. The department says it's concentrating now on providing firefighters with grief counseling.

It has been an emotional and trying week for the Webster community, and for those in Rochester and around the country that have shared in their grief.
One week after the tragic shooting, the final funeral service took place at St. Stanislaus Church in Rochester. Nineteen-year-old Tomasz Kaczowka was laid to rest. After the funeral, firefighters and their families attended a reception inside.
Throughout the weekend, were described by those who knew them as two men who put the needs of others before their own. Throughout the holiday week, the community tried to find ways to do the same.
As we head into the new year, a spokesperson for the West Webster Fire Department says they will now shift their focus to rebuilding the department and providing grief counseling.
"My concern right now is now. Now, we're going to try to get back to normal, we will be having some critical incident counseling this week for our members and their families. We obviously have to do that, just to make sure we start the slow road back to recovery. I don't know if this department will ever return to what it was prior to last Monday," said Al Sienkiewicz, West Webster Fire Department.
Grief counseling will be available for firefighters and their families.
Despite the concern, firefighters we spoke with said that this is what they do. They will continue to respond to calls and risk their lives to help others and will do so in honor of those who lost their life.
