Judge Revokes Bail for Man Accused of Raping Four Women While Out on Bail
An Irondequoit man who prosecutors say raped four women while he was out of jail on bail for previous rape charges appeared in court Wednesday morning.

Michael Chess pleaded not guilty to four counts of rape, plus additional charges of robbery, larceny and menacing.

It's alleged Chess contacted women through a website, then lured them to remote areas, where he raped and robbed them.

Chess faced similar charges in late 2011 for allegedly raping and robbing three other women.

"It is alleged that he committed these crimes while he was out on bail for the first pending indictment," said Andra Ackerman, prosecutor.

Judge Alex Renzi, who set bail for Chess after the initial indictment, revoked bail following the latest charges.

Chess is due back in court in February.
