President of Volunteer Ambulance Company Accused of Stealing Funds
A man in Seneca County is accused of stealing money from a volunteer ambulance company he was in charge of.

Officials say 44-year-old Richard Heichel, president of the South Seneca Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps, used credit cards linked to the business to buy goods and services for his personal use.

He's also accused of withdrawing cash at an ATM from the Ambulance Corps' bank account for himself.

Heichel was charged with 15 counts of petit larceny for those crimes. He's also charged with grand larceny for allegedly stealing money from a fundraiser held by the ambulance company.
