Change in Management of Frontier Field

Change in Management of Frontier Field
There will be changes at Rochester's AAA baseball stadium this spring. A Monroe County Spokesperson confirms LeBeau Incorporated will no longer manage Frontier Field.

LeBeau had a contract through the Monroe County Sports Authority to perform maintenance and handle promotions at Frontier Field. The contract expired at the end of 2012.

The county, which owns the stadium, will now handle the maintenance and the Rochester Red Wings will handle the promotions. The County says the new arrangement will be more cost effective.

James and Susan LeBeau, who operate LeBeau Inc., are currently facing a federal lawsuit. Several former employees claim they worked overtime at the Lilac Festival, the Air Show and Frontier Field and were not properly compensated. LeBeau's contract to put on the Lilac Festival is also up.

From Red Wings General Manager Dan Mason:

"The county will handle part of Jim's responsibility and the Red Wings will take on the rest of what Jim used to handle."

"As far as what's going to be different for the Red Wings... there are more responsibilities in terms of day to day operations at the ball park. I'm looking forward to future opportunities."

"I would just like to thank Jim for his many years of service. We've had a great relationship with him and he's accomplished a lot during the 17 years running the stadium."
