Genesee County Couple Wins $5 Million from Scratch-Off

What would you do with $3.3 million? That's what a Bergen couple is thinking about after winning that from a scratch-off ticket.
Jasvir Kaur and her husband, Kamaljit Sembhi, won $5 million in the Five Million Dollar Multiplier scratch-off ticket. After taxes, they get a lump sum payment of $3.3 million.
The couple owns a convenience store in Alexander, Genesee County, where they bought the ticket.
"Like everybody else, when you buy a ticket you say, this is the one, this is the one. But I never knew that was going to happen. I was shocked," said Kamaljit.
"The same life. We didn't change at all. We're not going to change at all. We're still going to lead a simple life," Jasvir said.
So far, Jasvir and Kamaljit plan to buy two used cars: one for their son and another for Jasvir. They're not sure what they'll do with the rest of the money.
