Man Arrested in School Copper Theft
A Rochester man is facing charges for breaking into a city school and stealing copper.
Rochester Police charged Charles Stallworth, 50, with burglary, criminal mischief, petit larceny, possession of burglar's tools and resisting arrest.
Police were called to School #6 on Upper Falls Boulevard just before 11:30 Thursday night for a burglary alarm. When they got there they found Stallworth inside the school.
He ran for an exit but police caught up with him after a short foot chase. He was taken into custody, still in possession of some copper piping.
The School #6 principal says the school sustained only minor damage.
