Chris Botti will be performing in concert with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra in Kodak Hall this weekend.

Botti will be performing for the first time with the RPO under conductor Jeff Tyzik.

Botti is the world's best-selling jazz instrumentalist, with three albums at number-one on Billboard's Jazz Albums listing.

We caught up with him to talk about his only Rochester appearance this season.

"There's such a great music community up here. A lot of very dedicated fans to all genres of music. I talk to other musicians all the time who say they love coming up here, on tour, the enthusiasm from the audience is spectacular," Botti said.

Botti has performed at the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival twice as well as a Lifetime Assistance fundraiser with the RPO in 2008.

We're told tickets for the Chris Botti in Concert are very near to selling out for both nights.
