Driving Park Bridge Reopens to Traffic
Rochester's Driving Park Bridge is back open after being closed down for about 24 hours.
Police closed the bridge after 4 p.m. Sunday when a man stood on the chain link fence on the north side of the bridge.
According to Rural/Metro, teams of paramedics stood by throughout the ordeal.
Paramedics took the man to Strong Hospital at 4:46 p.m. Monday after he was coached off of the bridge by officers with the Rochester Police Department. According to Rural/Metro, he is being treated for possible hypothermia and will be undergoing a mental examination.
The bridge has been reopened to traffic.
