Critic's on the Mall opened at Greece Ridge Center Mall in 1983.

In honor of its anniversary, Critics served an oversized 'to die for' carrot cake and offered specials and gift card giveaways.

George Criticos, the owner, says they pride themselves on offering an extensive homemade menu in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

"It's gratifying to see all these people turn out. It's been gratifying to be able to serve the town of Greece and to serve the residents, more than just customers, you develop a relationship with the people that come in here, and they look forward to coming in here and it's an honor for us to be able to wait on them and make them feel welcome," he said.

To show appreciation and commitment to the Greece community, Critic's is donating 30 percent of its sales today to the Ridge Road Fire District.
