Sweetwater Energy Announces Deal With Colorado Company
Sweetwater Energy announced a 15-year agreement with Colorado-based Front Range Energy.
The Rochester-based cellulosic sugar producer will now generate ethanol at Front Range's corn-ethanol facility.
Sweetwater says it will use its patented process to convert available cellulosic, non-food biomass and woody bio-mass into fermentable sugar. Front Range will then ferment that into ethanol.
Sweetwater says the deal is worth more than $100 million.
