The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm said the Pit Bull found abandoned and locked in a crate near train tracks in Rochester last month had to be euthanized.

Lollypop said the aggressive behavior of the 1 1/2 year old female, named Minnie, was too dangerous so she was not a candidate for adoption.

Minnie had been under the care of the Humane Society since she was found locked in a crate and abandoned with open wounds near some train tracks in Rochester in December.

Lollypop Farm said as she recovered from those wounds, her true behavior began to emerge. Behavior and training experts conducted an evaluation and found that Minnie was severely aggressive to other dogs and showed food aggression towards people. Because of these issues, she was not a candidate for adoption through Lollypop Farm and was euthanized.

Investigators are still looking for Minnie's owner. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Humane Society's hotline at 585-223-6500.
