TSA to Remove Controversial X-ray Scanners
The Transportation Security Administration announced it will be getting rid of those controversial airport body scanners that show naked images of travelers.

The scanners use x-rays that show metal on a person's body, but also show all other details on the body.

Congress mandated the scanners either be changed to ensure privacy, or be removed by June. Rapiscan says the scanners could not be fixed, so they will be removed.

TSA said that it will keep the other type of body scanner which shows a generic image of the where an object is located on a body. Those scanners are already in place at The Greater Rochester International Airport.
