Two men were arrested early Saturday morning in connection with two separate robberies in the city.

Rochester police say two robberies were reported during the night. One was on Alexander Street near Monroe Avenue and the other on Baumen Street near Avenue D.

The suspects got away with an unknown amount of cash. Around 2 a.m. Saturday, police pulled over a car that matched the description of the one wanted in connection with both robberies.

There were two men in the car. Police also found a long gun with them. They were both arrested and charged with robbery and possession of a weapon.

Their names have not been released, but police say they are 29 and 31 years old.
