An interfaith prayer service was held on Sunday for President Obama and all elected officials.
Local officials were invited to the service to support those who were elected into office.
It was held at the Sacred Heart Cathedral and led by Most Reverend Matthew Clark.
Clark says he hopes those in political offices will keep the less fortunate in mind.
"A lot of people are suffering, a lot of people are poor and uncared for and we just like to raise them up in our prayers tonight," started Bishop Matthew Clark. "And pray that our elected officials will pay special attention to the vulnerable in our society. A lot of wise people have said you can judge a society by how well they treat their poorest members."
Clark has held this service for several years.
