Man Crashes Car While Attempting to Avoid Police

Greece police say a man suffered serious injuries after he crashed a car while trying to flee from officers.
It happened at the intersection of New Prince Lane and Fetzner Road.
Police initially responded to an apartment complex on Kingsberry Drive for the report of a stolen vehicle. When officers arrived, they say the man put the car into reverse and pushed a police vehicle out of the way and took off.
A few minutes later, police received word that the suspect had crashed. Police say the man's car was struck by a flatbed truck, which caused the truck to veer off the road and into a house.
Police say at the time of the crash officers were not pursing the car. The truck driver was not hurt.
