Get your sweet tooth ready, it's National Pie Day.

Bakers at Holy Childhood have been busy rolling out delicious pies of all flavors.

The Special Touch Bakery at the Holy Childhood employs folks with developmental disabilities. The Bakery makes more than 16,000 pies a year, mostly for area restaurants and senior living facilities. Organizers say the bakery teaches its bakers life lessons.

Kelly Hallenbeck of Holy Childhood said, "The other thing about the bakery is that its sort of like an assembly line, so you have to work together, you have to keep up, you have to go with the pace of the group, not of your own. So they learn so many different things that can be applicable in so many different areas of their lives."

There are 50 area restaurants and senior living centers that sell Special Touch Bakery pies. You can also purchase one at the Generosity Store at 39 South Goodman Street in Rochester.
