Newly Appointed County Attorney Makes History
Merideth Smith was appointed as Monroe County's first female County Attorney on Friday.
Smith has served the past 14 years as a Deputy County Attorney and as Second Deputy County Attorney for the past three years.
Smith has a background in public and private legal practice, and served as the head of the General Legal Services Division.
Smith was appointed by County Executive Maggie Brooks.
