Police Charge Man with Stabbing Woman Inside Apartment Building
Rochester police arrested a man after they say he stabbed a woman several times Tuesday morning inside an apartment building on St. Paul Street in Rochester.
It happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. inside the Andrews Terrace Apartment building.
Police charged Dennis McFadden, 47, with first degree assault after allegedly stabbing Doreen Hildebrandt, 53. Police say Hildebrandt was found with multiple wounds in the stairwell between the 18th and 19th floors. She was taken to Strong Hospital and is listed in guarded condition.
Police say Dennis McFadden lived in the apartment building. He was arrested at the scene.
