Two Wayne County Men Charged With Animal Cruelty
Two Wayne County men face animal cruelty charges after police discovered several dead dogs in the town of Galen.
According to State Police, 26-year-old Merlin Schmucker of Clyde and 19-year-old Jonathon Eicher of Lyons are each charged with nine counts of cruelty to animals.
Police say the arrests come after nine dogs were found dead in January near Burch Road in Galen.
Both men were ticketed and are scheduled to return to court on February 20th.
