It appears the long debated I-Square Project isn't dead after all. Assemblyman Joe Morelle says an agreement has been made that will move the project forward.

The town of Irondequoit and the West Irondequoit School District have agreed to grant the project a PILOT status of up to 25 years.

The I-Square Project includes plans for an art gallery, shops, restaurants and residential space.

"The development would go forward, the town and school boards would support the PILOT, and hopefully now pending final approval by those bodies, we'll have a deal and we'll be able to move forward with the I-Square project," Morelle said.

The town board is expected to vote on the deal on February 19th.
