College Town Receives COMIDA Approval
Rochester's College Town project continues to move forward; the latest step in the process being approval from the County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency or COMIDA.

College Town is a project at the corner of Mount Hope and Elmwood Avenue. The development site, adjacent to the University of Rochester, is about 14 acres.

All existing buildings will be torn down to make way for retail, offices, residential and parking facilities.

The $60.8 million project will take about three years to complete. Ideally, the plan will strengthen neighborhoods while creating employment opportunities and a vibrant environment.

Committed tenants include Barnes and Noble and the University of Rochester.
