Man Charged in Several Genesee County Burglaries
A Genesee County man was charged with burglary after police say he stole jewelry and money from several homes.
Jeffrey Leaton, 22, of Byron was charged with five additional counts of burglary Thursday.
According to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office, Leaton broke into two houses in Stafford and three in Bergen.
Leaton has been held at the Genesee County Jail since last Tuesday, when he was caught by deputies while allegedly burglarizing another home in LeRoy.
Leaton was released and is expected to back in court both in Stafford and Bergen in the next few weeks.
