A teenager from the town of Clarkson won the Junior Iditarod race held in Alaska this weekend.
The official website and Facebook page for the 36th annual Junior Iditarod dog sled race says 16-year old Noah Pereira finished in first place Sunday morning.
Pereira was one of 13 participants and finished the 149-mile race first just north of Anchorage.
His profile on the race's website says Pereira is a junior at Brockport High School where he also plays varsity soccer.
