A memorial prayer service was held Sunday for a Rochester man found dead last year.
Alonzo Williams, 21, was found in the water among some debris near Commercial Street in March of 2012.
He was reported missing back in November of 2011 after family members said he had become despondent about life and expressed intentions to harm himself.
Pastor Britt Pledger of Jesus the Christ Church organized the event because there wasn't a clear answer about Williams' death.
"His life being taken in such a sudden way without really knowledge of what happened, or how it happened. We just really want to acknowledge the loss of him," said Pastor Pledger.
Pastor Pledger founded "Stop Kill'n and Start Chill'n" to help families recover after loss to violence in Rochester.
