The Dryden Theatre at the George Eastman house held its grand re-opening Saturday night.
After more than two months of renovations the Theatre invited the public to screen the film "Sideways" with Academy Award winning writer and director Alexander Payne. The theatre underwent extensive enhancements to its auditorium and projection booth.
"The Dryden deserves this. They've got a wonderful sense of community here about film that you don't find many other places," said Siobhan Julian of Fairport, "It's not the same as going to movies in a cinema, at regal theater or anything else like that."
Events are planned this month and next to celebrate the reopening of the Theatre.
