Former Bishop Matthew Clark Honored in NYC This Week
The former Bishop of Rochester will be honored in New York City this week.
Bishop Matthew Clark will be presented with the President's Medal from Fordham University on Wednesday. Albany Bishop Howard Hubbard will also receive the medal.
The ceremony will honor their collective service of almost 70 years as bishops and more than 100 years as priests.
The president of Fordham says the medals are bestowed as a sign of gratitude for their service within and outside the church over the years.
Bishop Clark served as Bishop in Rochester from 1979 until he retired in 2012.
