Ralph 'Bucky' Phillips Transferred to New Prison
A former fugitive and convicted police murderer has been transferred to another Upstate prison.
Ralph "Bucky" Phillips was serving time in Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora since December of 2006, but the Department of Corrections said he's been moved to the Upstate Facility in Malone.
Phillips is serving a life sentence for shooting and killing a State Trooper and wounding two others in the summer of 2006. He led police on the largest and most expensive manhunt in state history after breaking out of the Alden Correctional Facility.
While the Department of Corrections will not give any specific details on the reason for the transfer, it assures us he is still "securely incarcerated."
