Three Teens Hospitalized After Knife Assault
Three teens were taken to the hospital Saturday night after police believe a fight led to an assault with a knife outside the Blue Cross Arena.
The Section V and VI Boys Basketball Championships were held at the Blue Cross Saturday night. Police say they found two injured teens on State Street that had just left a group of people coming out of the arena around 10:30 Saturday night.
A 16-year-old had a minor facial injury from a physical assault and a 17-year-old had a minor laceration on his lower body from a knife. Both men are city residents and were taken to Strong Hospital.
Police say a third victim, a 17-year-old from Gates, was taken to St. Mary's Hospital by private vehicle for a laceration from a knife to his lower body.
All three teens were treated for minor injuries.
Police believe a dispute led to the assault.
Police do not have any suspects in custody and ask anyone with information to call 911.
