Driver Charged In North Street Crash
Two teenagers remain hospitalized and the driver faces charges after a car crash Saturday morning in the City of Rochester.

According to the Rochester Police Department, Jimmie Jones Jr., 23, was driving northbound on North Street when he crashed into a utility pole, a house, and a parked vehicle before the vehicle flipped over. Police say the vehicle was reported stolen.

The impact to the pole knocked the power lines down and the people in the house had to be evacuated.

Jones and his two passengers, Raeqwuan Alexander, 18, and Jahree Harmon, 17, were trapped in the SUV and had to be cut out. Alexander and Harmon are in guarded condition at Strong Hospital.

Jones was treated and released. He's charged with assault, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle reckless driving and other traffic charges.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. Police say they are going to look at surveillance cameras in the area for more information.
