State Supreme Court Judge Alex Renzi sentenced Robert Lathrop, 17, to 19 years to life in state prison for the murder of Matthew SanFilippo, 53.

Lathrop, who was 16 at the time of the crime, pleaded guilty to felony murder charges for his role in the murder.

Prosecutors said Lathrop and an accomplice attempted to rob SanFilippo on Orchard Street on New Year's Eve of 2011 when SanFilippo was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
