There are many service men and women in Monroe and surrounding counties and more are returning home every day. The Monroe County Veterans Service Agency wants to make sure they know the services and benefits available to them.

Ken Moore of the Monroe County Veterans Service Agency said this weekend on Saturday there will be a Veterans Town Hall Meeting in Hamlin.

Moore said, “What we’re doing in Hamlin is it starts at 1 p.m. and I have a presentation by the department of veterans affairs about the health care that’s available to the veterans, primarily down on the clinic on Westfall Road. I will give a presentation on veterans’ benefits such as compensation, death benefits and that type of thing.”

There will be literature on the subject available for vets to take home and share with other veterans.

It will go from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Baseball Drive in Hamlin.
