Apartment Damaged by Fire
One first-floor apartment was badly damaged by fire in Irondequoit. The fire happened on Portland Parkway shortly after 5 p.m. Monday.
Despite initial reports of people trapped, everyone was able to get out of the building safely.
No one was in the unit that burned.
Investigators are looking into what started the fire.
