Man Charged In Connection With Explosion at Vacant House
A man has been arrested after he was implicated in an investigation into a vacant house fire in August 2012.
The Rochester Arson Task Forced charged Antony Simmons, 25, with reckless endangerment and burglary on Monday.
On August 24, the Rochester Fire Department responded to an explosion and fire at a vacant house on Maple Street. Investigators determined the explosion was caused by natural gas released because of a theft at the vacant house. The structure was torn down due to the damage.
Simmons is in Monroe County Jail. He's scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday morning.
