Macedon Police say Paul Anderson, 62, of Palmyra, was going eastbound on Route 31 around 9:45 p.m. Thursday when he was struck head-on by a westbound vehicle driven by Linda Lucas, 66, of Rochester.

Police say Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. Lucas had to be extricated from the car. She was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and is listed in satisfactory condition.

Police say alcohol and speed do not appear to be a factors in the crash.
