Victor Man Involved in Standoff to Undergo Mental Health Exam
An Ontario County Judge ordered a Victor man who engaged officers in a 12-hour standoff earlier this month must undergo a mental competency exam.
Ryan Whidden, 31, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon after the March 11th incident. Deputies said Whidden fired several shots inside and outside of his Ketchum Road
home that day.
He eventually surrendered after authorities fired tear gas into the home.
No one was hurt in the incident.
