No holiday for health care workers Monday, who delivered hundreds of doses of vaccine at Monroe County's latest H1N1 vaccination clinic.
The event took place at Blue Cross Arena, the second such one held there in a series of vaccination opportunities offered by the county.
Organizers had the assistance of a group of volunteers. Members of the Community Emergency Response Team are trained by the Rochester Fire Department. At the clinic, CERT members were ready to help in any way.
“It's just further training and confidence that we can do what we're asked to do, in whatever event that might come up,” said Jim White, a CERT member who worked at the clinic.
CERT is a program born in the 1980s in response to earthquakes in California. The Rochester chapter has more than three dozen members.
