Doctor Ruth Westheimer made a stop in Rochester Thursday.
She spoke at Lifespan's Celebration of Aging luncheon about "The Richness of Life After 50."
Dr. Ruth says her message is for people, especially as they get older, to stay active.
"I think it's very important that people know that in order to stay healthy, healthy in mind and body, they have to do something about it. I have nothing against rocking chairs, but I would question if somebody would sit in a rocking chair 12 hours a day."
Doctor Ruth has kept herself busy since her radio show, 'Sexually Speaking' in the early 1980s.
She currently teaches weekly courses on Jewish family life at Yale and Princeton Universities, and is an author of more than 30 books.
